Late July, 2010 Nuts! Well I guess it was bound to happen, but we are nonetheless saddened to report the Batmobile was damaged in battle by that dastardly Penguin. We turned a corner down by Police HQ only to be hit by a gas bomb thrown by the waddling ones army of goons. While we are bummed that Penguin won this round, we were delighted to make the acquaintance of Dennis, who not only does a mean job with an airbrush, but as a young man in his teens actually apprenticed at the shop of George Barris, the original creator of the Batmobile (see the “Our Bat Story” section of the website to relive the excitement of our visit to Casa de Barris). Our baby looks better than new. That’s some primo work there, Dennis. As for Penguin, we’ll see him next week. Same Bat time, same Bat channel.
It took some haggling with the paper pushers down at Gotham Life and Casualty, but our claim finally made it through. It was worth the wait. Behold the stellar work of Dennis, the DaVinci of fiberglass!
