To The Bat Cave
As some of you know, we use our Batmobile to make weekly visits to the homes of gravely and terminally ill kids. Last year we visited a little boy, Ethan, that just had a Kidney transplant. He was too shy to get into the car, but was quite insistent that he wanted to see the Bat Cave. I tried explaining to him that the Cave was off limits to all but a few in Batman's inner circle. He was persistent though, and said repeatedly that he could swing by the Bat Cave the following day. His request has haunted me; I hated letting him down. It also has occurred to me that a Cave may give us the opportunity to lift the sports of many more kids than the handful we are so fortunate as to meet now.

So after some deep contemplation, we are going to proceed with the construction of an actual Cave. We are talking Bat Phone, Shakespeare head, Poles, Atomic Pile, the whole she-bang. What will Mrs. Wayne say? I say we just ignore that problem in hope it will go away.

So, if you have expertise to lend, we would love to hear from you. Maybe you have detailed pictures of the set. Perhaps some of the original props still exist. If you are a skilled craftsman, you may wish to contribute some of your skills to this noble cause. We want to hear from you - give us a blast.
